About the Project

NKY is the "Gateway to Bourbon Country"

To celebrate Kentucky's Edge Bourbon Festival in 2019, more than 100 companies, organizations and individuals sponsred these custom bourbon barrels as wayfinding and public art.

Local artists were commissioned to paint the barrels, incorporating the lighting feature into the designs. They barrels have been on display in NKY's entertainment districts and are now ready to find their final homes--maybe yours!
